Dan Bellino

Dan Bellino started a Young Runners program in the winter/spring of 2003 at PS 87; thanks to his vision and dedication, this team became the Bronx Flash Track Club, encompassing youth from schools throughout the North Bronx. Along with coaching the Bronx Flash, Dan works in the Central Office of the Department of Education, serving as a liaison between NYRR Youth Programs and the DOE, supporting all NYRR Youth Programs programs in this capacity. Dan works tirelessly to give his students every opportunity possible; members of the Bronx Flash have travelled to Oslo, Norway and have run in the International Children’s Games as well as competing at the top level in track meets all over the city. Dan maintains a tremendous rapport with his runners while demanding high levels of discipline and hard work.
