Answer: The ING New York City Marathon is the biggest marathon in the world. Last year over 45,000 runners finished! It takes place on the first Sunday of November and goes through all five boroughs in New York City. In 2010, Ethiopian runner Gebre Gerbrmariam won the men's race in 2:08:14. Edna Kiplagat of Kenya won the women's race in 2:28:20. Wow!
